I recently traveled to Wellington in New Zealand. Not also is it known for parliament and being the capital but it has artists and art all around.Over all Wellington is a beautiful city. You will meet some strange characters no doubt. But you will absolutely love it! It is never too busy and the food is amazing! Check out my food page for reviews on restaurants here! Sometimes you really want to do good in the world by buying your products ethically, even if you need to spend a bit more money. But how do you know the products your buying are actually against animal testing and don't include child labour? With most Toiletries and makeup products that are against animal testing and don't do it they will either say on the back “AGAINST ANIMAL TESTING” or this little picture somewhere on the back. With child labour free products it can be a little harder to tell if they actually are. The biggest countries that child labour thrives in are usually in Asia and Indonesia. If it says made in China, Phillipins or India it most likely uses child labour. If you live in a country that has really low reports of child labour, any product that says “Made from local ingredients, Assembled in YOUR country.” its most likely not going to have involved child labour. (Unless you live in China) Is your product kind to the environment? Do not buy bottled water. If you really must. Buy one bottle, and keep reusing that. The way bottled water is made and used is truly terrible for Earth. To find out more click this link. But if you are going to buy something in a plastic bottle check the bottom. You should find a little triangle with a number in it. Numbers 1, 2, 3 and maybe 4 are okay bottles that are safiest to recycle. Numbers 5, 6 and 7 if it even exists are totally bad not matter what. Do not buy products with this. You know those little bags you put your fruit into? They too are terrible for the earth. So are your larger plastic bags. Some supermarkets like New World have eco friendly and reusable bags that you can buy in stead of these plastic bags. Other places like Pak’nSave make it that you have to buy your plastic bags and pack your groceries yourself to discourage using them. So that's my first kind of Eco friendly post and I hope this encourages you to think twice before you buy. I know it has for me. As Wooden Dear is expanding in what we put publish, I'm starting to believe the logo we have now doesn't really represent Wooden Dear anymore. Wooden Dear will still be called Wooden Dear but will have a new logo, new pages and new style! The release date will be on the 1st of November. It's really important that before then you give me all your ideas and suggestions so that I can make my blog better for you and new readers to come.
